Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. In her early years, she went to her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was six years old when she made the decision to become an actress. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part time theatre school in Oxford in which she learned acting as well as singing. At the age of 10, she had already taken part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie version from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford Theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been chosen for these characters. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first cinematic appearance was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The highest-grossing movie of 2001, the film set records for its debut day revenue as well as its opening weekend earnings. The critics were impressed by the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's acting "amazing". In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her performance in the film, winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in an Feature Film.
