Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. At age 16 she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. She has been involved with a number of local projects, both as a teacher and performer because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
